We wish to welcome our atithi (Honoured Guest), to our humble restaurant. We want you to cherish the time you spend here by allowing us to charm you and your palate with the passionate and exotic tastes of Indian culinary delights.

The origins of atithi lie in the shared passions of two people on two different continents. They are Chef Abhishek Roy and Dr Dipankar Bose.

Chef Roy is extremely passionate for food and his life has been orientated around food for many years. After several years of study where he honed his skills as a chef, he worked for the Taj hotel chain in India. Desiring to move onto greater things in life, Roy came to North America and successfully managed to restaurant Sahib in Seattle. Most recently, Roy was the executive chef at Maurya Indian Cuisine before deciding that he wanted to open his own restaurant. During his career, Roy has won a long list of awards for his food. When asked how, he simply replies "I make my food with love"

Upon deciding to open his own restaurant, Roy teamed up with his brother in law Dr Dipankar Bose. Dr Bose is a consultant anaesthesiologist and intensive care consultant in the United Kingdom and was extremely eager to help Roy in his venture. Regardless of the distance between them, both the Chef and the Doctor have an incredible passion for food constantly striving to provide food that is wholesome and exotic.

Presently the strength of atithi lies with the fact that it is a complete family run unit. Roy is supported by his other half Lopa, who runs the floor of the restaurant while Roy is able to focus and work his magic in the kitchen. This dynamic duo takes immense pleasure in serving their guests and strive to treat them with honour and respect always.
